Vareniks with potatoes (Dumplings)
The potatoes should be boiled, mashed and seasoned with the finely cut fried onions, vegetable-oil, pepper, salt, following which cool the ingredients down. Make dough from the flour, water, an egg and some salt, then from the abaisse make vareniks. It is good practice to serve vareniks garnished with the fried onions and warmed-up vegetable-oil.
To make the stuffing take 1 kg of potatoes, two onion bulbs, four table-spoons of vegetable-oil, pepper, salt. To make abaisse take three glasses of flour, water — 3/4 glass one egg, ½ tea-spoon of salt.
